Natural Pain Remedy A Viable Solution For Carpal Tunnel Syndrome

11/11/2005

The rapid development of the Internet and the increase in the use of computers at work has led to a significant rise in the number of people suffering from carpal tunnel syndrome. According to the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, the number is up to ten percent of the population. Fortunately, for most people who develop carpal tunnel syndrome, proper treatment usually can relieve the pain and numbness and restore normal use of the wrists and hands. While some people turn to surgery to alleviate their pain, many sufferers are keen to find a natural pain remedy as an alternative to these invasive procedures.
Bounded by bones and ligaments, the carpal tunnel is a narrow passageway - about as big around as your thumb - located on the palm side of your wrist. This tunnel protects a main nerve to your hand and nine tendons that bend your fingers. Pressure placed on the nerve produces the numbness, pain and, eventually, hand weakness that characterize carpal tunnel syndrome
Although many people believe this is a new condition caused by computer keyboarding, it's been around for a very long time, according to the Mayo Clinic in Boston. Evidence of people experiencing symptoms of carpal tunnel syndrome can be found in medical records dating back to the beginning of the 20th century.
The search for natural pain relief has turned up some unusual remedies. For centuries, the Aborigines of Australia have been using something harvested from emus (a large bird similar to, but smaller than an ostrich) called emu oil, as a natural medicine.
Another effective remedy has been the 21st century breakthrough of utilizing natural herbal formulations with a special manufacturing process that enables these ingredients to work along the "electric pathways" of the body to form a natural pain reliever. The Chinese have been successfully using this approach for thousands of years.
"The letters of thanks we receive from users of 'Naturally Painless' make all the years of research very worth while," says Judy Cutler, a well-known nutritionist from Southern California, who developed an effective pain relief spray for carpal syndrome sufferers.
"As a web designer, I routinely log 12-14 hours a day in front of the computer," says Steve Scavo of 35mm Design. "My hand, wrist and forearm constantly ache and tingle and I've been diagnosed with carpal tunnel syndrome. With a few sprays of 'Naturally Painless' I'm good for the day - sometimes even two days! It's the first effective and natural pain relief remedy I have found. I even use it to help with my screen-induced headaches. All the ingredients are natural so it has no side effects and is completely safe. Unlike other remedies that I have tried, 'Naturally Painless' doesn't substitute a different sensation to hide the pain - it gives genuine pain relief".
