When we are young, a tumble in the grass is an excuse to get dirty and annoy Mom on laundry day. The fleeting ache or pain we suffer from such a fall is instantly better with a Band-Aid and a kiss. But as we age, everyday aches and pains remind us that we aren’t invincible any more and a band-aid and kiss from Mom just won’t cut it any longer. But, to resort to analgesics or prescription drugs isn’t always necessary for the run-of-the-mill ache or pain, not to mention the side-effects inherent in over-the-counter analgesics. A natural pain relief spray is becoming a popular alternative for the small twinges as well as the tougher torments.
Everyday aches and pains result from a variety of causes, but most are easily diagnosed and handled with a natural pain remedy. Some common run-of-the-mill aches and pains that benefit from a natural pain relief remedy include:
Joint pain: Osteorthritis is a common source of joint pain; however dehydration is another common contributor to the condition. In addition to using a natural pain spray, drink plenty of fluids to keep those joints properly lubricated.
Restless Leg: Involuntary twitching or jerking of the lower leg with symptoms such as tickling, prickling or burning. This condition is attributed to problems with the nervous system or a symptom of overexertion and fatigue. It may also be a result of vitamin B deficiency, diabetes, caffeine, drug withdrawal or food allergies. Beneficial supplements include: folic acid, vitamin E, iron, vitamin B complex. Reduce or eliminate caffeine.
Pulled Muscles: A pulled muscle can happen to almost any muscle in the body. A pulled muscle happens with a sudden or a severe force is applied to the muscle and the fibers are stretched beyond their capacity. To prevent a pulled muscle, always stretch prior to any vigorous activity and stick to a regular routine, and gradually increase the intensity, rather than going at it too hard or too fast.
Menstrual cramps: Spasms occur in the muscles when there is a lack of oxygen, waste buildup, loss of sodium due to excessive sweating or during pregnancy. Common causes include too much activity, prolonged sitting or standing and unusual positions. Beneficial supplements include: magnesium.
Shoulder and back aches: Often this is a variation on the pulled muscle from over use, lack of stretching, or picking up something too heavy, but other causes can give similar discomfort, such as subluxation of a disc or other conditions affecting the nerve ganglia.
To ensure you are getting the most from life, handle those everyday aches and pains with a natural pain remedy, and consult your physician or health practitioner should you suspect a more serious condition.
